Acne

A migraine headache

Insomnia

Air freshener

Wounds and cuts
Wash the area with clean water, pat dry with a cotton ball and apply pure lavender essential oil to the affected area. Add a few drops to your favourite cream or carrier oil to use it for chapped lips, dry and itchy skin and other skin irritations. Also read: SOS - Chapped lips!
Hair growth and dandruff

Hay fever
Inhale pure lavender essential oil straight from the bottle or keep a tissue handy with a few drops of essential oil so that you can sniff it throughout the day to lessen the symptoms of hay fever.
Flavour enhancer
Add a few drops of pure lavender essential oil to your cooking and baking to get that floral aroma. You can also add it to your teas, jams etc.
Bug bites

Sunburn
Lavender essential oil is a great sunburn soother. Just mix a few drops with your favourite carrier oil and apply to the affected area. It speeds healing and prevents scars. But remember that lavender oil should never be applied if you are going out in the sun because it makes your skin photosensitive. It is also useful for minor burns caused by steam or hot objects. Nausea

Relaxing foot soak
