As I told you many times before, I suffer from mild acne.   Acne Vulgaris -  A skin condition that occurs when hair follicles plug with oil and dead skin cells.   Acne is  the most common skin condition  in the Western world.  Aside from Acne Vulgaris, did you know that Eczema, Seborrheic Dermatitis, Melasma, Plaque Psoriasis, and Rosacea are all very common adult skin conditions?   They can be embarrassing and irritating at times, however, they are all manageable. Determining your skin type

Hello everyone! Determining your skin type is the first step in knowing how to treat your skin and what products to use.  All you have to do is follow these 4 easy steps:   Wash Your Face.   Wash with a gentle cleanser and pat dry.  Do not apply any products on. Wait a few hours.   During this time, your skin should return to its natural state and this will determine your skin type. Dab your face with blotting paper or a tissue.   Pay attention to the "T-zone" ( t he part of your face consisting of the forehead, nose, the area around your mouth and the chin ). Determine your skin type.    Skin falls into four types; normal, oily, dry and combination. Normal  skin shows neither oil nor flaking skin. Oily  skin is characterized by the grease on the tissue.   Dry  skin may feel tight or show flakes of dead skin.   Combination  skin is the most common.  It shows traits of all three of the above skin types....

Acne update | DIY: Honey and Aloe vera mask

Recently my acne has been flaring up again, which is very strange considering that I've been on a 100% dairy-free diet for a few months.   [  Can food allergies cause acne?  ]   I haven't consumed dairy products in years, other than milk chocolate and mozzarella on my pizza, which I now removed from my diet.   If you want to know more about dairy-free diet, check out   Go Dairy Free and   Got the facts on Milk?
