Calavera (aka sugar skull) make-up

Hello everyone - it's almost Halloween!
In a number of different cultures, there is a dedicated celebration made especially to remember the lives of family and friends who have passed away.  Day of the Dead (Dia de los Muertos) is a Mexican holiday, celebrated on the 1st and 2nd November simultaneously with the Catholic holidays of All Saints' Day and All Souls' Day.  The festivities start at midnight on the 31st October.

Sugar skulls are often used to decorate the gravestones of the deceased.

If you want the perfect mixture of spooky and sweet, this year you could try the calavera (aka sugar skull) make-up!  Check out the infographics below for an easy step-by-step tutorial.

  • Hope you have a spooky time on Halloween.  But dont get too scared though.
